ELECTRONIC FILING AND DIGITAL ARCHIVING POLICY

Jurnal Maneksi (Management Ekonomi Dan Akuntansi)

  1. Policy Statement

Jurnal Maneksi (Management Ekonomi Dan Akuntansi) is committed to maintaining the secure storage, preservation, and long-term accessibility of its published scholarly content. Electronic filing and digital archiving are intended to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and ensure that published articles remain accessible to researchers, academics, students, and the wider public.

The journal manages its electronic publications through its online journal platform and seeks to maintain appropriate procedures for data backup, document management, and digital preservation.

  1. Scope of Electronic Filing

This policy covers the electronic storage and management of the following materials:

  1. Published articles and complete journal issues.
  2. Article metadata, including titles, author names, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and publication information.
  3. Manuscript files and supplementary materials submitted by authors.
  4. Editorial correspondence, peer-review reports, and editorial decisions.
  5. Publication records, including corrections, retractions, and other post-publication notices.
  6. Journal policies, publication guidelines, and related administrative documents.

Confidential editorial and peer-review records are accessible only to authorized personnel and are managed in accordance with the journal's confidentiality and data-protection requirements.

  1. Digital Storage and Backup

The journal uses its electronic journal management platform to organize and store publication files and related records.

To reduce the risk of data loss, the journal aims to implement appropriate backup procedures, including:

  • Regular backups of published article files and relevant journal records.
  • Secure storage of backup copies in locations separate from the primary production environment, where feasible.
  • Access controls to prevent unauthorized modification, deletion, or disclosure of stored information.
  • Periodic checks of file integrity and the availability of archived materials.
  • Recovery procedures for technical failures, accidental deletion, or other incidents affecting stored content.

The frequency and implementation of backups are determined by the journal's technical capabilities and the policies of its publisher or hosting provider.

  1. Long-Term Digital Preservation

Jurnal Maneksi seeks to preserve its published scholarly content for long-term access and future reference.

Where technically available and formally enabled, the journal may use recognized digital preservation services, such as:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): A preservation service designed to support the long-term preservation of content published through Open Journal Systems.
  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): A distributed preservation system that enables participating libraries to maintain copies of digital publications.
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): A digital preservation archive designed to protect scholarly content against permanent loss or prolonged unavailability.

Participation in these services will be stated explicitly only when the journal has confirmed that the relevant preservation arrangements are active. <Cite refs={["turn998764search2","turn998764search4","turn998764search5"]}/>

  1. Access to Archived Content

Published articles and journal issues are made available through the journal's official website, subject to the applicable access and licensing policies.

The journal seeks to maintain access to previously published issues even when new issues are released. Changes to the website, platform, or hosting arrangements should be managed in a way that minimizes disruption to access.

Access to confidential submission files, reviewer reports, and internal editorial records is restricted to authorized individuals.

  1. File Integrity and Version Control

The journal aims to maintain the accuracy and integrity of its electronic publications.

The final published version of an article serves as the authoritative version of record. Where corrections, retractions, or other updates are necessary, the journal will document the relevant changes in accordance with its publication ethics policies.

Files should be managed to prevent the unauthorized replacement or alteration of published articles. Where technically feasible, appropriate version-control and recordkeeping procedures should be applied.

  1. Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit their published articles in institutional repositories or other appropriate scholarly repositories, subject to the journal's copyright, licensing, and self-archiving policies.

Authors should retain the article's bibliographic information and provide a link to the official published version on the Jurnal Maneksi website.

Any repository deposit must comply with the applicable license terms and must not misrepresent the publication status or version of the article.

  1. Continuity and Recovery

In the event of a website failure, server disruption, data loss, or platform migration, the journal will make reasonable efforts to restore access to its published content using available backup files and preservation arrangements.

If the journal's publication platform changes, the editorial team will seek to preserve article files, metadata, publication records, and links to previously published content.

If the journal ceases publication, it will seek to maintain access to its existing digital archive for as long as reasonably practicable and in accordance with available preservation arrangements.

  1. Responsibilities

The journal's editorial team and publisher are responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy within their respective roles.

Their responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining the organization and accessibility of published electronic files.
  2. Protecting confidential editorial and peer-review records.
  3. Coordinating appropriate backup and recovery procedures.
  4. Reviewing digital preservation arrangements periodically.
  5. Addressing technical issues that may affect access to published content.
  6. Ensuring that archiving practices remain consistent with the journal's publication ethics and licensing policies.
  1. Policy Review

This policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in digital preservation technologies, journal management systems, institutional requirements, and scholarly publishing standards.
