AUTHORSHIP CRITERIA

Authorship Criteria

Jurnal SIMETRIK (Sipil, Mesin, Listrik) is committed to maintaining academic integrity, transparency, and ethical standards in scholarly publishing. All individuals listed as authors of a manuscript must have made significant intellectual or scientific contributions to the research and must take responsibility for the content of the published work.

  1. Eligibility for Authorship

To qualify for authorship in Jurnal SIMETRIK, each author should meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: The author must have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the research, the acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of research findings.
  2. Writing and Revision: The author must have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual and scientific content.
  3. Final Approval: The author must have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission and publication.
  4. Accountability: The author must agree to be accountable for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, or ethical conduct of the research.

All listed authors are expected to satisfy these criteria and agree to take collective responsibility for the integrity of the work.

  1. Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial team throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission to Jurnal SIMETRIK.

The corresponding author is also responsible for providing accurate author information, institutional affiliations, and contact details, as well as coordinating responses to editorial and reviewer comments.

  1. Order of Authorship

The order of authors should be determined collectively by all authors based on their respective contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. All authors must agree on the author list and the order in which their names appear before submission.

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be justified and approved by all affected authors, subject to the editorial team's review.

  1. Contributors Who Do Not Qualify for Authorship

Individuals who provide general supervision, administrative support, funding assistance, technical assistance, language editing, or proofreading without making a substantial intellectual contribution should not be listed as authors.

Such contributions may be appropriately acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, with the consent of the individuals concerned.

  1. Originality and Ethical Responsibility

All authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript represents original work, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication in another journal. Authors must properly acknowledge the work of others and provide accurate citations for all sources used.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the research data, the validity of the reported findings, and compliance with applicable research ethics requirements. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct are unacceptable.

  1. Changes in Authorship

Any changes to the authorship or author order after manuscript submission must be communicated to the editorial team with a clear explanation. Written agreement from all authors affected by the proposed change may be required before the request is considered.

The editorial team reserves the right to assess authorship disputes in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

  1. Editorial Policy

Jurnal SIMETRIK reserves the right to request clarification regarding individual author contributions whenever necessary. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's authorship and publication ethics requirements may be returned for clarification or rejected.

By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal SIMETRIK, all authors confirm that the information regarding authorship is accurate, that all listed authors have approved the submitted version, and that they accept responsibility for the integrity of the research.
