MANUSCRIPT TYPES

Manuscript Types

Jurnal SIMETRIK (Sipil, Mesin, Listrik) accepts scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of science, technology, and engineering, particularly in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. The journal publishes original research articles and conceptual or theoretical studies that have not been previously published in other journals or scientific publications.

The following manuscript types are considered for publication:

  1. Original Research Articles

Original research articles report the results of original scientific investigations, experiments, field studies, engineering analyses, simulations, or the development and evaluation of technological applications. These manuscripts must present clear research objectives, appropriate methodologies, reliable data, scientific analysis, and conclusions supported by the findings.

Topics may include civil engineering structures, construction management, transportation systems, water resources, mechanical design, automotive technology, manufacturing processes, electrical power systems, electronics, control systems, and computer engineering.

  1. Conceptual and Theoretical Articles

Conceptual and theoretical articles present systematic scientific discussions, theoretical analyses, or the development of concepts relevant to engineering and applied technology. These manuscripts should provide a clear theoretical foundation, critically discuss relevant scientific literature, and offer meaningful insights or perspectives that contribute to the development of knowledge in the journal's fields of interest.

Such articles may address engineering principles, technology development, infrastructure planning, engineering system analysis, and other topics relevant to civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

  1. Applied Engineering and Case Study Articles

Applied engineering and case study articles examine specific technical problems, engineering projects, industrial applications, or infrastructure systems. They should provide a clear description of the problem, the methods used to investigate or address it, the analysis performed, and the implications of the findings for engineering practice.

Examples include construction project evaluations, transportation and port studies, equipment maintenance, manufacturing performance, electrical installation assessments, and the application of computer-based technologies to engineering problems.

Case studies should demonstrate sufficient technical analysis and provide useful lessons or findings beyond a purely descriptive account.

General Requirements

All submitted manuscripts must:

  1. Be relevant to the focus and scope of Jurnal SIMETRIK.
  2. Present original scientific contributions or meaningful conceptual and theoretical insights.
  3. Have not been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  4. Follow the journal's author guidelines and manuscript template.
  5. Provide appropriate references and citations to support the research or scientific discussion.
  6. Demonstrate clarity, methodological rigor, and academic integrity.

All manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and peer review. Acceptance depends on the manuscript's relevance, originality, scientific quality, and compliance with the journal's publication requirements.
