The journal welcomes contributions that address contemporary engineering challenges and support technological advancement, industrial development, and sustainable infrastructure.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Simetrik is published twice a year, in June and December. Each issue contains scholarly articles that have undergone editorial screening and peer-review procedures in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and publication standards.

This regular publication schedule provides researchers and academics with opportunities to disseminate their research findings systematically and continuously. The journal is committed to maintaining a consistent publication schedule while ensuring the quality and scientific relevance of published articles remain its top priorities.

Peer-Review Policy: Double Review

Beginning with Volume 16, Number 2, December 2026, Jurnal Simetrik implements a double-review system to strengthen the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of its manuscript evaluation process. This policy is intended to ensure that manuscripts considered for publication receive a thorough and independent assessment of their scientific merit, methodological quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

The review process begins with an initial editorial screening to determine whether a submitted manuscript meets the journal's basic submission requirements and falls within its scope. Manuscripts that pass this preliminary assessment are then assigned to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the research area.

The reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several important criteria, including originality and novelty, clarity of research objectives, relevance of the literature review, appropriateness of the research methodology, validity of the analysis, quality of the results and discussion, adequacy of references, clarity of scientific presentation, and contribution to the development of engineering knowledge and practice.

Following the review process, the reviewers provide comments, recommendations, and suggestions for improvement. Authors are expected to respond to the reviewers' comments systematically and revise their manuscripts as necessary. Depending on the evaluation results, editorial decisions may include acceptance, revision, or rejection. Where reviewers provide differing recommendations, the editor will assess the manuscript and the reviewers' comments before making an appropriate editorial decision.

The editor makes the final publication decision, considering the reviewers' assessments, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal's editorial policies. The double-review system is intended to support a more comprehensive evaluation process and improve the overall quality of the journal's published content.

Through this policy, Jurnal Simetrik seeks to strengthen the credibility of its publications, promote responsible scholarly communication, maintain high academic standards, and ensure that published articles provide valuable contributions to Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
